  • What is the GCAs all about?
    • The Golden Chopsticks Awards (GCAs) is an award ceremony which recognises East and South East Asian cuisine across the UK. Our mission is to celebrate the enormous contribution of East and South East Asian cuisines to the UK catering industry and champion those who work within it. The GCA’s is a celebration of varied contributions to the East and South East Asian food industry by Restaurants, Takeaways, Retailers, Wholesalers, Suppliers, Writers, Chefs, individuals and more.

  • When is the GCAs?
    • The 5th annual awards will take place at the Royal Lancaster London Hotel on Monday 29th April 2024. The winners will be announced on the night.

  • How many awards are given out?
  • Who attends the GCAs?
    • All the awards category finalists, the founders including Gok Wan MBE who hosts the event, the Judges and anyone who has a passion for East and South East Asian food including a whole host of foodies from celebrities and chefs to food writers, restaurateurs, manufacturers and suppliers. Plus all our Golden Chopsticks official Partners.

  • What do GCA winners receive?
    • All Winners will receive:

      - A full inclusion in the Golden Chopsticks national and regional PR campaign
      - A trophy
      - A window sticker for their restaurant
      - A selection of sauces from Lee Kum Kee

  • How can I involve my own restaurant?
    • Voting will open on the 8th January and close on the 26th February 2024.

      If you are an East or South East Asian food serving business and you want to be involved in the awards - firstly read our pages on 'How to take part' and 'Benefits for Restaurants'. This should give you all the information about how the awards campaign works. Once you have done this, be sure to sign up to the Restaurant Area to order your FREE voting pack and download other tools to help your campaign.

      Please note that in order to be a finalist (top 3) in your category, your restaurant or takeaway must have an FSA of 3 or above or a pass in Scotland.

       

       

  • How can I vote for a restaurant?
    • Go to the ‘Vote Now’ button on the ‘Homepage’ and you can vote for your restaurant here. You can cast one vote in each of the 13 public categories, if a restaurant has asked you to vote for them, make sure you know which category they want to receive votes for, if you don't know, pick the one you think is most suitable. Voting is open between Monday 8th January and Friday 26th February 2024. Outside of this period you will not see the Voting option on the website.
